ARTIST PROFILE
My name is Andràs Pilipecz, I was born in east Hungary in 1985.
I come from an ordinary family and started showing interest and fascination towards art at a very young age. I was drawing extraordinary creatures and mad shapes accompanied by nonesense letters and poetry. Later in my teenage years I started being attracted to street art and graffiti, which then led me to contemporary art.
After experiencing tragedy and trauma first hand, at the age of 18 I left home and went to study Contemporary Art at the University of Eger, Hungary. In my Uni years I learned from great contemporay artists such as Istvan Eross, Imre Bukta and Rudolf Szilagyi. I stared nurturing my skills to an academic level experimenting with new mediums and methods. It was also in those years, however, that I stepped into the world of self distruction and I stayed there for quite a while.
In 2012 I moved to London and started a new path of creativity and self discovery.
I have always been inspired and always will be. Looking at society, humanity, the evil and the hopless, love, wisdom and trash I aim to show you our world's true colours.
